Privacy policy
This policy is short because the site handles very little of your data. The images you split never reach us at all, because the splitting happens inside your own browser and there is no server to send them to. We use Google Analytics to count visits, and that is the whole of it. Here are the details.
Your images never leave your device
Everything the splitter does happens in your browser. The file is read from your disk by JavaScript, decoded with createImageBitmap, drawn tile by tile onto a canvas in a Web Worker, and encoded back into PNG, JPG, or WebP. The ZIP is assembled the same way, on your machine.
There is no upload step in that sequence. We operate no server that receives images, hold no copies, and have no way to see what you split. Close the tab and everything is gone.
The same is true of the GIF splitter, the sprite sheet splitter, and the PDF export for printing. Files you download are generated on your device and saved straight to it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people use. That covers page views, rough geographic region, device type, and how visitors arrived. GA4 sets cookies in your browser to do this.
No consent banner is shown on this site. If you would rather not be counted, there are two reliable ways to opt out:
- Browser settings. Blocking third-party cookies, using a tracking-protection setting, or running a content blocker stops GA4 from loading. The site works identically without it.
- Google’s own opt-out add-on. Google publishes a browser extension at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout that prevents Google Analytics from receiving data about your activity, for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
The boundary worth stating plainly: analytics tells us that someone opened the splitter page. It does not, and cannot, include the image they split, because that image never travels anywhere.
Local storage
The tool saves your settings in your browser’s localStorage: your last grid, output format, quality, and paper size, so they are still set the next time you visit. That data stays in your browser, is never transmitted, and holds no personal information and no image data.
Clearing your browser’s site data removes it. The tool then starts from its defaults.
What we do not do
There are no accounts, so there are no names, emails, or passwords to hold. We do not sell data, we do not share it with advertisers, and there are no third-party advertising trackers on the site. Nothing you split is logged, counted by type, or sampled.
Third parties
Google Analytics is the only third-party service running here. Google’s handling of analytics data is governed by its own privacy policy, and Google may process that data on servers outside your country.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles the request for the page itself and keeps standard server logs as any host does. Those logs cover requests for pages and files, not the contents of images you split, since images are never requested from or sent to the host.
